FAQ ABOUT “SCRIPTSTORE”

  1. WHAT IS SCRIPTSORE”?

It is a “store” of scripts. You can buy the ones that are already on sale (after reading them, of course) or you can request a new writing of a script, of any genre and format. Also scripts in English or written to be translated. And quiet. Only the initial contact is “online”. Once you have read or requested a script, the necessary meetings will be made to begin the writing and close the deadlines (all within the same budget). I love the personal treatment! I am not a machine! (except for the speed in script writing).

  1. WHY ARE I GOING TO CONTRACT YOUR SERVICES?POR QUÉ VOY A CONTRATAR TUS SERVICIOS?

Because I write very well and very fast. I LOVE cinema, television and short films. I LOVE to write, and I will always give 100% so that the script is the best possible. But if that does not convince you, know that even if you think that for me it is a “food job”, a project “under contract” or a genre “that is not the type I like” my main intention is that THE SCREEN IS FINISHED PRODUCING. Because I want my prestige to remain intact and grow and my future as a scriptwriter to continue … What would be the point of doing it wrong then?

  1. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT YOU SAY?

First, because right here you can find sincere opinions of my works, of people with whom I have worked.

And second, and even better if you do not trust, you will have at your disposal in “Store” to download the first pages of each script for sale to make sure you like how I write before even contacting me. Finally, you can request the complete scripts so that you can read them and have an opinion about the quality and speed of my work (besides being able to acquire them). Remember: I do not force you to hire me, only you can decide.

DECLARATION BY THE AUTHOR RUBÉN ARNAIZ

  1. OBLIGATIONS OF THE CLIENT / PRODUCER AND THE AUTHOR

The payment by the client / producer for the writing of the script implies the cession of rights of exploitation of the script, but also my accreditation of the script both in credits and advertising, as well as the possible economic consequences derived from the work stipulated in the agreement of scriptwriters .That is, not paying for me means that I renounce my intellectual property rights.

The AUTHOR undertakes to meet the delivery deadlines agreed in the contract except for the cases set forth in Item 4: WHICH INCLUDES AND DOES NOT INCLUDE THE PRICE “and other emergencies (illness, death -of course-, or family problems) always justified. That does not imply that there is no compensation (to be agreed) on the part of the author.

If the AUTHOR does not comply with the stipulated deadlines without any justification, he commits to reject the remuneration for said work, and return half as an advance in addition to committing to finish the work. Likewise, the AUTHOR will continue to keep the INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY rights stipulated in the Law.

Payment will be made as follows:

-30% at the beginning of script writing

-40% after the script delivery

-30% after acceptance of the script by the CLIENT / PRODUCER

  1. TIME TO SEND THE SCRIPT

The approval of the script to write and the terms may vary depending on the complexity, so you can’t take literally the deadlines set out in the prices, unless the CLIENT / PRODUCER doesn’t want to interfere in the writing of the script beyond receiving the first version to be concluded, in which case, the terms if they are stipulated in the price.

  1. PRICE: WHAT INCLUDES AND WHAT DOES NOT.

Changes in the script outside my work, arising from production problems will not be my responsibility. Example: if a script is requested to be produced and, due to the reduction or enlargement of the budget, a re-writing is required (not to be confused with the revisions), it will mean a new full remuneration by the client (understand, there is a time limit to devote to a script for this price). On the other hand, the price includes 2 revisions and face-to-face or telephone meetings.

And remember: the rates are gross, to which we must add the corresponding VAT tax stipulated in Spain.

  1. ABOUT AUTHORITY

As has been said, the script will be registered by the AUTHOR provided that the following assumptions are NOT made:

4.1. That the CLIENT / PRODUCER has previously developed the story. This should be at least 15 pages for synopsis or a treatment of at least 30 pages. so that the CLIENT / PRODUCER can register the work as “Author of History”. Understand it: not by saying that you want me to write a script based on an idea, or guidelines, it means that it is “your idea”.

Example: “I want you to write a script set in a town, where some zombies want to eat everyone and only a woman and a cat can stop them.” Or this one: “The story of a woman and a man who fall in love in a shopping center and end up leaving their respective partners, escaping in the bread truck”.

Anyone can have an idea, good, bad, absurd or wonderful (and this isn’t a contempt for your ideas, or mine, that’s the way it is), but that doesn’t make it “a story”.

4.2. If the CLIENT / PRODUCER wants to co-write a script the rate will be the same as writing the script from scratch, since writing a script “four hands” on a project started (other than a re-writing) is very complex, since you must “get into” someone else’s head, which if you also “don’t know”, complicates it even more. However, in this case obviously both (CLIENT and AUTHOR) will record the script together.
